Does anyone know how to fix this 'Fatal error!' crash? Everything was fine in the game up until I got to Aku City. Now it keeps crashing around the mid section of this level! Please help.

I have the same issue, it crashes in Aku city right after a 1v1 miniboss fight every time:/
I'm running on a 6600xt and have tried both a 3600 and a 5700x3d and it keeps crashing no matter what... even though the rest of the game is flawless

Exactly right around the mini boss fight! I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you too but also glad I'm alone not in this issue with someone also playing this game right now! I'm thinking about posting this problem in a Samurai Jack forum on Reddit or something to see if I can get an answer.

I have the same problem in the same place in the city of Aku with the same mini boss, I play from EPIC, I tried everything, I did not find any solution, I sent an email to support, they did not answer me, it is unplayable, the console version is the same the only one that doesn't crash.

I thought of a possible work-a-round for Samurai Jack Steam players. If you have a Steam Deck continue your game on there! I haven't tried it yet to see if it gets past the crash but I just installed it on my Deck and will try soon. It's Steam Deck verified game as well so that's promising!

Happy to report by simply playing the game on my Steam Deck instead of PC I was able to progress and get passed that stupid crash point! I'll return to playing it on my PC eventually and see if it ever crashes again!

I played through the whole game after getting passed this one section of crashing in Aku City by using the Steam Deck then going back to playing on my PC and the rest of the game is fine no problems. Very strange! The rest of the game is definitely worth experiencing!

I did some tests on the game and after launching the game in dx12 it didn't crash in that section. Try it out to see if it works for you.
First you have to go into the steam properties of the game and then at launch options, type in -dx12

Wow this is great info Hyperness! Thank you for doing these tests and taking the time to figure this out! I will give it a try sometime but if it has been working for you that sounds very promising!
