Yea, that is a great point.
I believe that's what reviewers are for. I guess I'll have to wait for a video from someone who isn't a complete yes man.
/facepalm
As stated.
Sure, there's likely a new generation that appreciates the SJ universe, but the real fans are all adults by now.
The repeated voice lines can get annoying I'll give you that, but there is no reason to talk to any npc more than once, maybe twice at most.
I never felt like Aku was this horrifying monstrosity, not even from the TV show, and I was little back then. If Aku could not scare me when I was a small bean, He can't do it now. And I understand that you gripe is with the 3D model, but I think he was made decent enough.
I was surprised when the animation thing happened to me for the first time at the second level's boss. I know it does not feel right but think of it this way. From what I see, this is not a high budget game, I would say it's a low budget game. This would tie in with the lack of voice acting as well. With the sheer amount of diversity when it comes to Jack's weapon arsenal, the number of custom cutscenes for each and every single boss or whatever Jack blows to smithereens would be astounding. Also, some of the enemies/bosses need to die in a certain way for what follows to make sense. You can't really cut someone in half with an arrow can you?
When it comes to graphics I have always thought that people just want more, without stopping to look at the game for what it is. The combat is fantastic and you can feel the impact. Bosses are diverse and you require different tactics to overcome them. As I said, I don't think this is a high budget game, and I would take good gameplay and decent graphics over bad gameplay and good graphics.
What I told you is from my 3 hours experience. Is the game perfect? No, but what game is? I hope I game you some insight into it whether you'll try it or not. Just don't understand that "button mash, barely take dmg" talk when I'm sitting here sweating to not get hit once while doing combos over combos with the fluidity of a monkey to keep my enemies in the air for maximum dmg. xD
Are you playing on the Hardest Difficulty? I went in on the Hardest Difficulty and you get completely destroyed if you don't perfectly counter and dodge.
YOU DON'T EVEN OWN THE GAME. Seriously what kind of post is this???
Graphics and character design looked superb from the videos I watched, it's just the combat that didn't look that good for me.
idk it looks alot better then I thought it was gonna be

i do like the graphics of the game but i think AKU should be less reflective and be made black matter like the show . the combat need more improvement . i feel the camera is zoom in too much what make more enemy hit you when you don't see them .they could fix this by zooming out and also allowing you to block mid animation what greatlly improve the flow of the game .
if they improve the combat . this game will be much much better . but i do think what we got here is not bad or button mashing . but using other skill seem not that useful when your combo get breaked by enemy attack you didn't see or someone shot you . i think having more clear feedback like small flash before the enemy attack . that tell you if you can block the attack or need to dodge will be useful .
Visuals and style don't appeal to me and I never watched the cartoon. I'm here for the combat and it's pretty good for a game made on a tight budget. You can feel ninja gaiden is there at its core. Definitely way more to it than button mashing, you shouldn't draw hasty conclusions from youtube videos.
Alright. Thanks everyone for trying to help. I'm not even gonna wait for a sale. I've been looking forward to this game for quite some time, if I hate it nbd, Steam accepts returns.
Thanks!
Totally cool if you guys love is so much. No big deal. Different people have different standards.
I would rather spend $40 on buying all the DVD's or Blu-Ray's. To me, rewatching the entire show for the 20th time would be WAY more enjoyable. Plus, that experience would last WAY longer than 4-5 hours....
F*** off with these trash games, Soleil Ltd.
