I play it on Xbox and the only achievement I'm missing is the one for the Marine with 2 amputations at the same time (not so easy if you're not constantly almost dying...)
For me, the only notable bug was the one where the confirmation button -almost- doesn't work anywhere - that was at release before the first patch.
In the pause menu, however, you can still click on Load and then you just have to reload the last save instead of restarting the whole game. If you, as an end user, spend just 5 seconds thinking about the problem, you can usually solve many "problems" by yourself. Either you didn't listen or you didn't understand a game mechanic. And if it's a real bug, as in the example with the confirmation button, you quickly find a workaround that doesn't force you to restart the whole game.
Of course, you can also run to the forum, complain and leave virtually no useful details. (Instead of contacting support properly and reporting the error in as much detail as possible)
I can't imagine a small individual player getting technical help from the developer/publisher when they don't even provide ongoing updates to the masses.
I don't think a little single player would get any help from the developer if they
No developer has a magic crystal ball that tells you which bug occurs, where and how.
Bugs are not corrected because enough people complain in the forum or social media, but because enough people have reported them in the meantime or because the developers themselves have found out something different.
Having been a developer myself in the past, may I see things quite differently than someone who just starts playing a game for an hour. But that's the reality. That's how it works in the industry. More useful reports also mean more bug fixes. With all the trolls and bashers, you can't sort it out through forums etc.
But this game likely got abbandoned two achievements are bugged afaik for every user if you play on current version.
Also for instance M6 sabotage event is bugged to so it always occurs unless you kill all suspects.
It happens 100% of the time even if you kill the"correct" person......
That bug was fixed in a certain patch but a new one brought bug back in.......
And many bugs are"random" like marines falling out of bounds so it has rare chane of happening overtime.
Drones getting stuck especially common on M11 where it is likely to happen.
Marine getting stuck in geometry and can not move.
Game is like 20-50 hours long so above will likely happen a few times to an avg.run.
"dead egg" bug which has high chance of happening if egg is killed by a flamethrower and less chance if killed by a sniper..........It is reported easily verifiable....
In the early game version eggs got properly killed by flamethrowers.....(which are also silent).
There is a low chance of scripts not starting or not ending properly.
Eg. for me the First preatorian once failed to disappear(and had no hp)post "cutscene" fixed by loading back the elevator save.
Now in rare cases even if hunt ends aliens will just keep homing in to you re-triggering hunt.
In M6 if you re enter a certain area spawns will home back to you as if the"chase" event was still on going. But that area is sealed so best not go back for loot.
In rare cases missions spawn script eg.M10 dropship fight, spawns still keep going as if event was still on going even after have ended.
So even during hunts, even those 2 commando spawns will home into you.......
Most random bugs are solved by changing elevators or loading back a save.
Sometimes script not starting can cause softlock.
If you enter an autosave checkpoint while being hunted.
There is a chance that the hunt stress increase will keep ongoing forever even future deployments....so those marines are stress bugged......and some players might not notice and have marines post deployments with stress increase.......
Noticed it early was forced to find a save before that bug happened lost 1.5 hours of progress.
So this game likely has spaggeti code that got slightly better than on release.
Now the gameplay is very good and unique and usually you will only ecounter a few bugs and most of them are not game breaking.
But this game is very far from polished
After the first mission return after the conversationabout the escapepod one is suppose to select equicment for the first time.
after selecting equicment in the first only selectable slot its filled with the chosen equicment and returns to the demand to select a equicment piece in the now occupied slot.
Tutorial blocks any chance of progression and the game has deactivated saving the game.
a unbreakable loop is established to return from the mission and glitch out at the selection.
this is apparently a long standing wide spread problem making it for many impossible to play new game plus.
