I'm glad to see something fresh with the IP, hopefully we'll get Alien Isolation 2 and a new AvP game some day
Its more like.. You crawl through big-ass-map, trying to avoid encounters as much as you could (because this xeno lvl will rise and when it high xenos come with increased numbers so you have to retreat and continue mission next day)
So like, 15 missions on first map. I did like 60% on first run, then another 15-20% n the second, got into big fight and had to retreat again, returned and finished.
Between missions you upgrade your base, marines, unlock equipment etc.
So I would say if you like tactical games, and moreover if you like original Alien movies (not this prequels crap) - this game is a blast.
And it wont be a shame to play on easy. If they gave me challenge on medium, while I dont consider myself very noob, I m sure that for newcomer even easy will be interesting enough to not get bored and have place to improve skills
Tension is perfect IMO. Watching your soldiers gradually get worse and worse off while trying to still gather supplies is a cool mechanic.
