Nope. this is a RTS game where you control a squad of Marines and each marine can have a set of tools or abilities that can help the squad out as a whole. the game works on a persistent mission and maps. things you leave on a map stay on the map. doors weld shut, stay shut unless something broke out of them. it also features a stealth mechanic and anytime you fight with the aliens, the more aggressive they become over time before they just send a hoard your way.
