I mean, I get the sentiment. You're expecting it at one price, when you see it for lower you're like "what's wrong with it?"

IDK that I'd sound the alarms at $40 compared to AAA pricing myself, though. Adjust expectations, sure.

here's the thing remove the aliens licence and then compare it to something like wartales, i know completely different but sorta same-ish genre just ones fantasy and the other is sci-fi, without the expensive licence this would be a 30$ most likely but that ip brings alot of attention you wouldn't otherwise receive. At 30$ it would be more or less at the same price point as other games from indies devs that are also in the tactical turn base/real time genre so the price tag makes alot of sense.

39 bucks is a bargain, would easily have payed 70 bucks if they said that they would release a dlc or likewise in the future, loved the game, its was aweomse

You think this is cheap? Might be for you from USA, in Brazil its a bit expensive for a game of that level... that's why I'm waiting for a sale to get this game, but since you think it's too cheap, you can already get me a copy of it to help the devs even earlier :)

You’d rather pay more? $40 is admirable because the developer knows what their game is. Otherwise you could be spending $60 on Mario Kart 8 which came out over 10 years ago.

The price is good. people forget about license costs, thats another layer added onto it that lots of other games dont have to put up with. 39.99 is not even high, was buying games over a decade ago for the same price or more.

edit - its actually 34.99 for me full price, lol. nothing.
