It crashed for me in the same way - but not just the game. It was my entire computer. I had to unplug it. Task Manager wouldn't even popup.

Hello Demens, could you provide here a dxdiag and ideally the call stack from the crashing message in the unreal pop up ? (We are receiving them, but could not find you without that. Overall do no hesitate to fill the crash windows if one happens)

Has this happened before? This might point towards deeper underlying issues with the soft or hardware on your computer.

I've never had this problem except for this game. I'm running a 3090 TI on a stock workstation that isn't customized. And no matter what I try I hear click when I try to start the game and PC restarts. I check the logs and it shows nothing except it turned off unexpectedly. I tried the regular vid card that came with the workstation vs the 3090 TI, same thing. This has never happened with any other game and the workstation is stable otherwise. Even with the latest drivers, trying to going to windowed mode spamming ALT+Enter etc. makes no difference. It just kills whatever GPU I have and computer restarts.
Bought the game yesterday. Wanted to play today. :(

Does anybody else have this problem?

Edit update:

Saw this guy on YouTube talking about how to fix it and has so many options.
See here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KpE68jvQFs

I did the lazy one (since I already updated the driver, restarted the computer, checked integrity, etc)

Go to properties and under launch options type this in ( DO NOT INCLUDE QUOTE MARKS "" ) :

"-dx11"

Very rare problems after. (game was opened twice, one crash)

I do get a weird flickering yellow line when I am in the base tho. I'll see if I can screenshot it.

But now I got no problems. Just the faces not so HD. LOL
