Which movies worth watching before playing?

Rewatched Alien and Aliens as refreshers, but haven’t seen any of the others. Are any of em worth watching, either because they’re canon here, or because they’re good Aliens movies?

Only the first two are relevant and any good.
The third is watchable and 4 is good for like 1/3rd then turns to poop.
Prometheus and Covenent are boring snooze fests with a boring plot, over-reliance on CGI and the director was more interested in robots and androids than aliens.

For this game, you'd want to watch Aliens (the second movie in the franchise).
If you wanted to understand who the hell Ripley is then you'd have to watch Alien also (the first movie).

The original trilogy are probably the only movies worth watching though, honestly.

I forgot Brad Douriff was in that movie. Played Pieter De'vries in Lynch's dune but is best known for being the role of Charles Lee Ray (Chuckie) in the Child's Play movies.

One and two are must watches, 3 isn't half as good but also not as bad as people make you believe. The rest is utter garbage though.

People like to ♥♥♥♥ on this and that. Yes, some are better than others (mainly the first 2 being regarded as the best ones, no argument). But in my opinions, 3 and Resurrection aren't bad at all, just different. But then again it's just more Alien lore and world, no reason to miss it.

There are also the non-cannon Alien vs Predator movies. Not great, but again more aliens.

Thought Prometheus and Covenant feel so disconnected from the rest of the movies that, even Alien vs Predator feels more canon than these. I mean, these two movies completely lack xenomorphs, so if that's what you wanted to see more of, you won't find it here.

Oh please. Aliens 3 is easily the worst. I agree the first two are at the top, but I think the newer aliens movies >>>> Aliens 3.
