Whats the max days you recommend i can skip?
I guess its a bit situational but whats everyones average or even max quantity of days u think a player should skip? 3? 13?
Im on mission 2 and ive skipped 2 days so far n im a bit worried about it since the infestation level is now 2. Idk if thats too much too early. Im fairly average at these sorts of games...

You should ignore infestation, it's not significant. Before the Doom Clock starts, feel free to skip days as much as you like.

AFTER the doom clock starts, you can probably skip 5 days safely over the rest of the campaign. (Technically, you can skip 10+ days if you make no mistakes, but go with 5 as a very safe limit your first time through. I can't be more specific without spoilers.)

Skip as much as much as it takes to feel comfortable before finally finishing mission 5. After that, be prepared to skip as little as possible.

Skipping lots of days before Doom Clock starts is basically a cheese strategy.
You would end up with endless resources. That might be fun or not, depends on the player.
I would advice not skipping more than needed to get your marines out of medbay.

Well, it's kind of a situation where everyone knows the time would run out, but most new players don't know where. It's one thing to be a new player and not know about the Cerberus Protocol going in blind, but if people are specifically asking how much time they can skip, it's because they believe the clock is running before it is.

That's why the advice is what it is. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

How come the infestation level isnt significant? Wont every mission have double/triple xenos? I struggle sometimes as is xD Its manageable though. Does the infestation level not make stuff very frustrating?

No. It's like 5 or 10 more aliens per onslaught at max or something. It's basically nothing.

Just ignore it. Git gud :) Your team is built for it. I hope it is :)

I have the maximum infestation level ever since I reached it for the first time. I just finished mission 8 (70% of the game?). I'm playing hard, custom settings, regular damage. Don't ask about number of days. I messed my first squad BAD. So bad I made a new one from scratch, which required cheating :( I learned a lot along the way.

So far every mission is manageable. The key is to avoid shootouts at all cost until you're done with all objectives. Sniper rifle for infested rooms + mines for buying time + drone for scouting + overcharging motion trackers to take attention away. You can almost sprint through entire maps unnoticed. Don't bother mining everything. Don't overdeploy trackers. It unnecessarily eats command points.

The game forces you into combat quite often + if you want to do XP runs, you need to kill xenos. Stealth wont help. You want to train killing machines. And you want to create kill zones. For this set up sentries, suppressing fire in a flexible place allowing you to reposition if needed. Throw flares and use some grenades. Flamethrower for cutting off weak spots. Abuse the hell out of APC. If you play it well, you're almost untouchable.
