Tutorial mission.
The mission in Dead Hills is a scripted ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ isn't it?

I've done 10 objectives with my squad. They all got stressed but alive and at full health.
I've got to the objective where you have to check the suspicious container and the game tells you that it's sometimes better to go back to Otago and rest. So I did.
Went back with a new squad, all fresh and rested.
I deployed my quead by the neares entrance and they all go max stressed and traumatised after seeing only a couple of aliens before I even reached the container.
By the time I've done the objective to find matrerials for Otago and reached Director's Office my squad was fully traumatised and panicking. Really? Really??

I've done 10 objectives with one squad and they were fine but the new squad got fully traumatised after only 2 objectives? They haven't even spent a fraction of time in the colony compared to the first team.
The game sets you to fail no matter how well you will prepare, isn't it?

I really like the game and the tension but no matter how careful I am and look after my squad there is no chance they've got so stressed so quickly.

I've read that after tutorial mission the game opens up and it's getting better. Is Dead Hills still part of tutorial?

And as a side note.
Does marines in the game reflect the state of American troops?
None of them have balls to keep thei ♥♥♥♥ together and all come with mental issues straight from the barracs at the start of every mission?
Even Xcom didn't have so many negatives right at the start. :D

It's like a religion, all this fear of stress.
