Soft lock bug found

In Pryce tower when looting the generals for keycards, i found I couldn't progress the mission as one of the generals bodies had disappeared from the room, but the marker on the map was still in the room. I tried saving and reloading hoping that the body would reappear, going down the lift and back up again, even leaving the mission and redeploying hoping it would reappear once realising I couldn't load a slightly earlier save as they had been overwritten by the other saves.

I had to load all the way back to the beginning of the mission and redo the whole thing.

The problem? Opening the vent when all the guards were at the top of the room by the turret -.- I had to wait until they had moved further out of the room away from the vent.

I'd also noticed that a few of the bodies that were killed by the Aliens in multiple rooms were just floating/sliding away on the floor while dead.
And snipers capes are still bugged through their faces...

There are no further bug fixes for this game. It is published, development and aftercare done with. So...deal with it:S

I gathered for the fact they haven't done any updates or patches since 2024. but I literally posted how I dealt with it in the same post :L Just letting others know of a potential issue during their run through so that they too don't lose hours of work and have to start the level all over again.
Such a shame yet another Aliens game has been abandoned by their developers before it's fully fixed.

I've played a ton with AVP 3:) Especially multi as buggy it was and as many cheaters they were.
Aliens: Colonial Marines was the greatest disappointment and scam we've seen.
(It is one of the greatest scams in gaming history:D)
Alien Isolation did not give it a try yet.

Sadly this game whereas had some decent ideas, the bugs in it made it annoying:( And especially the part that punishes players when they kill aliens:( I get it that they figured that coming and going back to the same mission 12 times to complete the objectives. And that was their idea...but most players are not like that.
They buy the alien games cuz they want to kill aliens. Not they want to kill aliens, then run the hell away to come back again to the same place and do that 5 times in a row..:P
(Though once you hit level 2, just get resourceful abuse the autosave upon rest function and get as many ammo as you want:P)

Well regarding telling how to avoid the bug, sorry i cant recall the part, or might be i never got that far. I just got tired after a while, waiting for command points to fill up to do something was another boring mechanic, especially combined with the ever increasing hostility and spawn rates and so on.

I've been replaying Colonial marines recently and honestly i'd rather faff through the awful shooting of that game than this one xD but yes it's a shame that the online for that has also died but understandable to be fair. Also a shame because its now impossible to get 100% in these games as they included online multiplayer
Definitely give Aliens Isolation a go! although it's much different to these games where you're basically defenceless against the xenomorph but it's so enjoyable...well unless you get a bad save as well and end up dying over and over, it's a frustrating game but really good. i'm interested to see if they actually make another one.

They should remake the old AVP games, I miss AVP extinction playing as the alien horde. and there should absolutely be more games where you play as the Alien! i'm actually surprised there hasn't been more since it would be an instant hit with the fans (well unless it's a buggy cop out ) I just want to play as the Queen darn it! :(
