I'm satisfied, to be honest, but any further products announced, I'm on it, full price.
Even finished games get updates, more content and fixes for years and years following release.
Heres a game that released in nov 2022 and it just posted an update about what they are working on in the future
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1134700/Wild_Terra_2_New_Lands/
Skyrim was released in 2010 and has gotten numerous updates so i really dont know if you've never played any other game or you have some other reason for saying that after a game is released its not ever updated
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/489830?updates=true
and if your just being obnoxious and feeling you have to comment w/o knowing what your talking about please walk away. Im not going to try to explain why games like DayZ and 1000 others keep updating after release. And this isnt a debate, i feel you have nothing constructive to add so ill just ignore any further comments from you.
Have a nice day
As much I love Aliens: Dark Decent and want, like you, more. There are two major difference in the games you mentioned and why they still getting post release support.
1. Both developer and publisher are basically the same company.
2. It's their own IP.
So they can do whatever they want with it.
As oppose Aliens: Dark Decent:
1. Developed by Tindalos Interactive for Focus Entertainment.
2. It's tied to a lP neither of them own.
Tindalos can't even work on a patch withouth the greenlight from Focus Entertainement. But even Focus can't fund a DLC as it has to be approved by the copyright holder of the IP first (Disney/Fox).
Focus patched both their Aliens game in November/December and since then got no depot updates on Steam anymore (which hints that they are not working on a patch). Maybe their licence to the Aliens IP has been expired in 2024, who knows. I don't know their contracts.

On top of that, the sales where propably too underwhelming (less than Fireteam) to fund a DLC/sequel. But without offical word we can only speculate. Or silence speaks for itself.
But maybe we'll get something at the Alien day.
Hope it will be done in 2024!
But yea, give me more of this game, please :D As another person said, full price, its so worth it!
To bad theres toxic forum trolls. Just block/ignore them and its good :p
Is the latest Starship Trooper game close to this fun ?
And I'd also pay for a DLC but im still hoping for free content from the developers.
