My Gunner Disappeared on the APC mission and Reloading Earlier Saves Doesn't Bring him Back

This is the crash report. No reloading saves work. The only thing I think might work is restarting the mission from the ship. Additionally, I'm having UA571 Automated Sentry Turrets get destroyed when leaving them in areas and taking elevators up or down a floor despite no evidence of xenomorphs when I came back. Really discourages creative problem solving.

I love this game, but these are major issues.

Why did he despawn? Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone else experienced the sentry despawns?

I think the sentries getting broken is actually feature not a bug. I also noticed they break down after some distance is made.

Also i just came across otago event where a marine named gunner is supposedly fanatic agent and you either banish him from Otago or have brawl in the mess hall. Could this be the issue?

If you transition between levels then turrets break with the implication that aliens have gotten to them, distance I didn't notice an issue. Daily events can include some that directly impact your staff (marines/doctors/engineers) so I imagine it was probably a daily event, yeah.
