By disabling it, it is not going to change the game's narrative. It is just one of difficulty factors.
the implemention of the death clock is just bad, since you never know how many missions u still have to do. For some players thats fine, because they having a matching playstyle, but others not....rly ♥♥♥♥, and due to the mention fact, those players could not even adjust they style of playing, but must restart.
You can turn it off now. So what is your issue?
Yes, they have to restart if they want to change a difficulty level. Just like in many games.
Perhaps they should ask the devs about option which let you change a difficulty details during gameplay at a cost of trophies/achievements being turned off.
Also on PC, anyone who is savvy enough can use mods or trainers.
The issue is, many players are 1 day before getting bombed but having still x mission to play. Those have no solution.
The one thing they could implement to further adress this issue: one savegame after each mission which isn't deleted. So if you f* up you don't have to replay the whole game but can jump back a few missions and try again but with less time wasting...
They should play on easy difficulty then if it took them so many days to get there.
Or...maybe they don't know to write or don't want to complain in a forum. And maybe there are hundreds or thousands of them. That you haven't heard of them, that's another story. Have you considered that ? What YOU think is irrelevant, Keep that in mind, it isn't the absolute "truth" so shut the ♥♥♥♥ up.
The fun part is the following: You think that your opinion is worth more than mine. You don't know either! Maybe you are right - but most likely you aren't. Why? Because people always complain about stuff and if you do your research you will find loads of folks who don't like the death clock and you will have a really hard time to find anyone who lost the game because of it. If it really were a major issue there would be much more. That's a pretty safe bet. But even if I am wrong in my assessment: the latest patch gave you the option to remove it...
