I understand that they want you to focus on the cinematics and feel rewarded after the mission before that. I was still confused (the same way as you) that your squad becomes invincible for a part of the mission. I would actually prefer to being able to loose the mission and have health bars even during the first parts of the mission. Without that, it almost becomes a bit boring.
2) The giant alien is always on top of Hayes but not on top of Cassandra (and if it is, you loose). At least that was my case... and it only wants her. But I found it a bit strange that there was even a Codex that told you to use your abilities against it to stun it. But when using those I almost always became slower due to the animations taking so long (switching between attack animation and run animation). It would have been more fun if you would really have to use your abilities to keep it at distance... but then the stun would need to last longer + the alien would need to be a bit faster.
But I have to say that it wasn't that much fun to constantly switch between the map view and ingame to avoid wrong turns. I had to restart 2-3 times from a checkpoint during that chase, which didn't feel good.
3) I fully agree. I would have liked to have a normal mission on that map and with those assets. Especially those scary egg fields could make for some fun encounters.
After the ending, I still keep my hopes up for another game with the same crew. And there they could use those alien city assets maybe. How about they wake up and suddenly the ship is heading to a strange destination and somethings not right on the ship... or something like that.
2. You are supposed to slow it down with a grenade launcher when it gets too close.
3. They want to keep everything related to this as a mystery just like Space Jockey and Derelict Ship in movies.
First of all thank you for your comment Kordelas . I would like to address the points you made.
1. Okay, but then maybe it would have been better to make it shorter, add jump scares or make it a full movie. Something to make it a bit more interesting. See previous paragraph.
2. Yeah, I didn't get that, but say for idiots like me
3. Fair enough, I thought of that too. Still... would love more content surrounding that, doesn't have to be huge. Especially because they introduced it into the final mission. Have a scene with a hologram that shows us something that happened.
2. The alien can kill characters by sweeping its hand. Anyways it is just an interactive epilogue.
Yes, but only if you take a wrong turn.
As intended by the devs.
