Bug Report: Computer entering sleep mode after about 30-60 mins of Play. Event viewer says "AsusOptimization.exe"
Like it says on the tin - the game randomly shuts down my laptop (ASUS ROG). If a dev wants to reach out I can provide more specs but event viewer shows this as the problem:

EVENT 1:

User-mode process attempted to change the system state by calling SetSuspendState or SetSystemPowerState APIs.
EventData

ApiCallerNameLength 141
ApiCallerName \Device\HarddiskVolume4\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\asussci2.inf_amd64_7a3a8aa248377da4\ASUSOptimization\AsusOptimization.exe
SystemAction 3
LightestSystemState 2

EVENT 2:

The system is entering sleep.
Sleep Reason: Application API

EVENT 3: (me coming back online)

The system has resumed from sleep.

From what I understand (could be wrong) AsusOptimization.exe controls things such as cooling, idle time, etc. and can cause the computer the enter sleep (or other states) because of this, so it makes sense it's the culprit. This could be a problem on Asus' end but I've never had this issue before.

I'm going to disable AsusOptimization.exe service for now and see if that helps, but want devs to know about this.

yeah definitely message the forums for this. because most of us are retarded when it comes to proper bug reporting. especially when there are about 100 different things on your system and that there are "the one card fits" all responses coming your way. and the many Me Too response where they have no idea what you're dealing with and respond as if they know what your problem is. Then there will be complaints about people like me stating that I don't know anything and that you can be taken care of without actually knowing what your system is all about.

Devs don't look at this forum only rabid fans and passive gamers who want to feel apart of the community.
1. we know 1 thing about your setup.
2. refer to number 1.
3. devs have a proper website for reporting bugs, refer to some thread found on this forum. but most likely check their what ever website for more information.

Thanks for the note, I figured the Devs trolled here. I'll post on the official forum.

And for anyone searching: I disabled AsusOptimizer service and game lasted for a good, 2-4 hours without doing it, but just popped again. The event log shows nothing that I can see is important, and confirms no AsusOptimizer.exe.

C'est la vie.

Thank you Nathan. I think this issue was on my end and was a result of the laptop overheating as I experienced the same issue elsewhere. I had recently gotten some fans replaced and I believe they either used improper fans or accidentally disabled other cooling on the laptop as I had never experienced this issue before, hence the bug report.

You can consider this closed. Thank you for your help.
