Having to weld the door; unweld it, weld it again in order to shelter

Had to use up a tool resource to re weld the door in order to rest.

I have this bug too, annoying.

Worst thing is when you accidentally clicked weld and it filled a single bar before you cancel and used the tool anyway.

You only had it on one mission so far? Lucky, for me this is the usual.

Interestingly once I could rest without welding doors at all, so that was nice.

not sure what you're saying, but you can rest in any room with a house icon on the map, that has no valid path to any room that does not have a house icon of it. If you have two valid rooms with open doors between them you can still rest if those rooms have no open doors to any "unsafe" room.
