Is it frozen or am I doing something wrong?

I'm trying to figure out why I double click the green square and nothing happens. I've tried clicking pause, but I get stuck right here. Is it a bug or am I just not understanding the game mechanics?

I can't hit unpause either. I've updated Windows, updated my nVidia drivers to the current ones.

I'd appreciate any help, I really want to like this game.

Your file links don't seem to be public.

Without seeing where you're at, there's a couple annoying times in the game where it forces you to perform a very specific action. Like move here, place an item there, etc.

When those are happening, you sometimes can't do anything else until you complete the action. Like there are invisible walls, or you can't close part of the UI, etc., until you perform the particular action the game wants you to.

If that's not it, when in doubt, load an earlier save/restart the game. Fun game overall, but there are some frustrating issues present right now.

Okay, I believed I made it public. So After the Cerberus Protocol, the Alien comes at me, I leave the console room. Game stops and tells me about the yellow line. It tells me to hide, So I click the green squares and nothing happens. I have tried to click pause and unpause it doesn't work either.

Just to clarify, in that specific moment you can't just click any cover with green squares. You have to run to where that green circle is. I'm color blind, so maybe it's not green, but in your first screenshot (I still can't see the second one), it's the circle towards the bottom left of the frame.

If you don't do that, it won't let you do anything else, period. (There's going to be a few spots like that through the game.)

Once you run to that green circle, it should give control back to you.

If you're still stuck, you may want to try starting over, unfortunately!

Okay, I will try that. I can't even get the mouse to scroll the screen, so if it is the objective symbol, i"m not sure I can move there.

Okay, so it doesn't tell you that the yellow blob you have to select to hide, I don't see a green square there, but that did it. Frustrating is an understatement when there are other green squares.
