But seriously i think you will have to accept that you lost sadly. Maybe you get lucky with an event that extends the time. Since daily event change with every reload you could try to reload the day until you draw the event that gives you more time.
There are also events that extend the timer. But the timer only starts halfway through and stops after i think 4 or 5 missions.
On medium you have 25 days plus whatever bonus time you get. Havent beaten it yet but it feels like not to restrictive.
Gives you time to get comfortable with the mechanics and then makes you push yourself out of your comfort zone to get just a little bit more out of the mission. It ads to the atmosphere in my oppinion.
Time limited campaigns can just bugger right off :D
Same thing happened with Xcom2.
Even years after release some ppl complained about that.
I don't mind the time limit. It's time to adapt if one is running out of time ^^
It's routine with time/turn limited games, with the complaints coming from people who abandon ship at the first mention of any kind of limit. If they dared to try for themselves instead of running for the hills they'd find the timers are usually quite generous.
It happened with the game Lost Eidolons. In that game every mission had a turn limit of 99, and the game would reward you for finishing missions quickly. Players who hadn't even left the tutorial were crying and whining before they'd even gotten into the game proper. It's sad.
In Dark Descent it's especially funny because it doesn't even come up until you're about half way through the game, so it's already super lenient allowing you to take as long as you want while getting to grips with everything.
At least on medium you get enough days to use 2-3 deployments per mission and still have some left over.
I had 10 days left when I beat the game.
