Bug with Facehugger Embryo Extractor

I use the xeno points before the mission to buy the extractor, but during the mission when I try to use it to save a marine it says I don't have an extractor.

Same thing happened with the acid armor protection. I bought it with the xeno points but in the mission still took acid damage.

Has anyone else run into these bugs?

I think I might have once lost my acid-armour after a load. But I assumed it was user error.
Does the upgrade still show up as active on the tab above your map?

Acid armor protection only applies to your armor. Once your armor is shredded, you take acid damage like normal.

As for the extractor, all i'd ask is if you are sure you chose it for that deployment?? I have yet to hear of any bugs relating to the Xeno-tech.

I did exit and reload during a mission. I did not know the upgrade shows above the map will check it in future missions.
