I prioritize Pouches and Redemption perks, but there are a lot of other goods one too that if it's available I will try and get it. Getting two ranks of that dismemberment perk on a Gunner is insane.
Can the Flamethrower take out Eggs without causing a ruckus? I'm on mission 6 and still haven't unlocked the Flamethrower, LOL.
it just blocks movement, you can cut off an entire approach and create an artificial funnel, or just temporarily block all access to an area
Yeah I've been using the Sniper Rifle Method. But it's not as reliable later on when you have rooms with 7 eggs in them. I have managed to clear 1 patch of Eggs with a grenade without alerting anything, at the time though I didn't know if it was a bug.
I try to get as much ♥♥♥♥ done as possible before fighting but later on it becomes near impossible.
AFAIK you can kill things with abilities and, so long as they're not actively noticing you to initiate a hunt, there are no consequences.
Ergo you can hit eggs with grenades via the splash while being slightly out of their direct LoS, so that there's no filling arrow between the egg and any of your marines, and it won't initiate a hunt. This also seems to work for general enemies and even elites, but is much harder to pull off as they're mobile and tougher.
I have not tried it, but apparently if they're close enough they will wake the little beasties
It's easy if you scout corners and through walls with the infrared, take out the stray ones with the sniper rifle and lastly blow up the biggest batch with a single grenade. Many times quite the CP investment, but worth it I think.
