but yeah other than the fact they RAN away they just have tail cone, and a jump abiltiy.
Your experiences may be different but I've found them to be smarter and more of the attack of opportunity type of enemy in my playthroughs and a real pain the ass at times.
They aren't straight up fighters unless they have no choice, they try to get that aggression meter to keep climbing making the overall map "harder".
The Codex also says this.
On a related note, when the story related praetorian spawns in mission 3, I noticed that it wasn't on the motion tracker, didn't respond to lures, etc. but once I rounded a corner, it seems like I hit a trigger because all of the sudden, it's suddenly on the scanner like 5 metres from the squad. Is hiding from the tracker something they can do, or was that more related to that specific praetorian from the story?
I did nearly exactly this the first time I saw one! Except instead of mines, it was a gun line of 4 sentries! I hid them around a corner and got the bugger to chase me. As soon as the sentries fired, I hit it with suppressive fire so it couldn't run and it melted in a few seconds
also there is plenty info of his abiities and how to fight in codex
