But the writing is bad, even for a budget game the writing is just absolutely routine. Like someone slept through writing it. I don't know. I feel like almost anyone could've written more compelling dialogue. Budget has nothing to do with writing this mailed in.
Hard to complain though when this game is so good in every other respect.
100% agree. It's definitely one of the best Alien games I've played in a good bit. I just kinda brace myself whenever a cutscene pops up lol. Like when what's-his-face said "I was born here, these are my people... I won't abandon them..." and looks up. I know they were trying to be serious, and by no means would I call the voice actors bad, but I couldn't help but laugh.
But yeah, it's at worst a minor complaint. The rest of the game is a banger.
Nah I noticed that. I also pointed out I liked the rest of it. Just the dialog and rigging was pretty jank.
Besides, idk if you've been paying attention or not the last decade or so in gaming, but budget/price doesn't equate to quality of the product, positive or negative.
No, but budget normally means things aren't top notch in some departments.
I'm just not sure why you felt this needed a thread when it's clear as day that the reason the cutscenes aren't that great looking with the character animations, and the dialog being all over the place.
LOL. No it doesn't.
