Possibly. I would think so, but I wouldn't discount Isolation, but this was it for me, personally.

If and when they fix the bugs, more then likely. Currently am confused how so many issues could get past playtesters. Did the devs even play the game themselves?

Nah, Alien: Isolation was released in 2014. It is pretty good tho.

If they fix the bugs, add some content after the campaign, then yes. I finished the game and honestly, it needs a continuous thing to keep it going, randomized missions, content on the side.

Then yes. if they can keep on releasing content, then it's the best Aliens game ever.

Personally Aliens vs Predator 2010 is still the best game in the franchise, i remember how good both the campaign and multiplayer were.

Then again, i enjoyed almost every game in the franchise (yes including colonial marines, i liked it alot only couse of the multiplayer though.)
But yes this is really good.

I think Alien Isolation is still better in terms of story and vibes. But this one is a solid second.

Top 3 for me is:

1. Alien Isolation
2. Aliens Dark Descent
3. Aliens fireteam elite

Yes. And for my money its in contention for best all time. We were long overdue for a squad based RTS/turn based Aliens game. This game is like playing the second movie every mission, with enough map and mission variation to keep each sector fresh.

Alien Isolation is the first movie.
Aliens Dark Descent is the second.

At least my childhood lives on in video games, even if every new movie sucks.

Alien isolation is still supreme. This is def. second (even with the polish issues).

Aliens Fireteam Elite would have been easily top 3... if it was NOT because of the TERRIBLE handling of that game, the horrible multiplayer decisions and that it was mishandled enormously... its a shame really, as Fireteam Elite had TONS of potential.


Why are alien games so hard to make lol? Its like there is a curse on this franchise.

AVP 2010 had some VERY good moments, but I think I'd give it a 6/10 at the end of the days. I had fun with it, but it could have been a lot better. Its funny to think back at it that AVP 2010 would stand out as one of the BETTER alien games for the longest time, which is kinda sad to think about that it was above average in many fields and that that was our standards for the longest amount of time...

(until Alien isolation came out of course...)

AvP 99 still the best Aliens game for me but I think this is a close second.

I never get the love for AVP 2 personally, I thought it sucked compared to the first one. Not a single part of it felt or played better and in some cases it sounded worse.

And the AI was worse too. The Xenos couldn't even follow you through vents. BIt pathetic tbf.

Lmao never, AvP3 was very bad... AvP2 IS the best game for both franchises, it's simple perfect, especially for its time.
