Gameplay Console vs Pc

I'm considering buying the game for PC. Got a gift card for Amazon for my birthday. So I could get the game for the Playstation 5 too.

Can it also be played well with a gamepad or does it have serious disadvantages compared to keyboard and mouse? The game doesn't seem easy.

I would also be interested to know if the graphics on the Playstation 5 are much worse than on the PC.

It can be played with gamepad on PC, but i would say it depends on the genre of the game and personal preferences what device is the better one. I would not recommend this game with a gamepad unless you use pause mode instead of slow motion, otherwise mouse + keyboard is king in the real time strategic/tactical genre, you can use more shortcuts and mouse is faster overall.

Ive not long started the game but controls seem stupid with either mouse or controller, not sure i will get used to it, Controller does little easier but is strange controls.

How would you rate the graphics between the two platforms? Are the details on the Playstation 5 comparable to the Epic settings on the PC? And what is the resolution of the console version.

With the One Squad control, I actually imagine it to be very comfortable on the console. I would prefer the PC version, but since I'm broke, the Amazon voucher would be the best option to buy the game at the moment, but then I'm tied to the Playstation version.

All ive been doing is playing with controller on my pc.
You will want to turn on pause instead of slow-mo, but other then that id say controller is fairly well implemented. (aside from some bugs when swapping between keyboard and controller to name marines and stuff) probably wont happen on consoles.

Tried it both ways and the pad is too clumsy for this game.

Just swap the "slow-mo when giving commands" to "full stop when giving commands" (via options) and controller works just fine.
Can't really comment on the graphics, saw the game for 1hr at a friends place on a PS5 and it looked pretty good (only play on High anyways, Epic is for screenshots...). Just checked a PS5 gameplay on YT, should be the same as high (maybe epic, idk, lol) on PC (game is not very ressource hungry anyways).
With performance mode you can easily play in 4k/ 60 FPS apparently

Playing with my Dualsense just fine but I whish they had native support for it.
