Pretty poor show if you ask me
What is your knowledge about shader compilation?
Game is installed on a SSD.
Game rarely lags for 1 second during the start of the a massive event and if there are many many enemy corpses but My CPU is much weaker than yours.
But 99% of the time it is fine so you will likely have somewhat better perfomance than me.
How would knowing about shader compilation help here?
It helps to understand what causes stuttering.

looks and and runs great
Pretty much says your on amd hardware it's pretty obvious your having issues lol on my end I have no issues whatsoever on a 10900k and a 4090 flawless experience on my end lol maybe don't use amd hardware
Might mean that it was focused to work better on one kind of CPU or GPU (logical or).
(There was example of this in the past, where certain companies payed certain developers so games run better on their products:P)
But it is also possible that overheating issues arise. I can safely say i think for this game to run on highest settings i might need an even better tower and PSU. (6750 XT and 6700G and 650 W PSU)
The only place where i had serious lag and stutter and all was in mission 5. I had to actually restart the game it was so bad. One second it was working well, then the next second nearly unplayable it was lagging so hard, and funnily enough not even any enemies in sight or near that time. Usually this would mean there is some kind of memory leak present. But i doubt it.
Turn them down for a massive boost in performance with little visual deterioration.
The game is extremely demanding in terms of performance, however it is very customisable. This is because with all the effects up maximum the visuals are amazing, but it's zoomed out top down be default... meaning there is a lot being processed on the screen.
As others have said, medium gets you good performance even on a old machine... and since you are zoomed out and top down, you would not be seeing most of the fine details anyways.
