also you can transform their gun into a sentry on demand.
they are good to have on any team really.
I guess the sentry thing is taking the place of regular auto-aim in this. Not terrible, but the smartgun should be auto-targeting enemies with almost 100% accuracy.
That's what it's FOR. Getting a bonus by targeting a specific enemy seems a little odd. That's the opposite of what I'd expect this thing to do.
Suppressive fire is also the opposite of what I'd expect this thing to do. I mean, it should be hitting seeing as the gun targets enemies by itself. Suppressive fire is basically shooting to miss.
suppressive fire is not shoot to miss in this game it just unloads a lot of ammo at target so I noticed that if i setup two marines on suppressive it mows a lot of stuff down that is coming in.
but yah that smart gun is suppose to auto target so it should give huge bounce to hit, I would think it could still miss sometimes sense its shooting so quickly, but the machine gun smart gun should do both suppressive fire and have high hit ratio.
One in three bullets hitting??? Who trained these people?
Remember how the aliens don’t show up on infrared in the movie?
“Maybe they don’t show up on infrared at all.”
I find it hard to believe they wouldn't have a motion tracking mode. I mean, sentry guns work fine.
Smartguns worked fine in the AVP games, that's for sure.
In Fireteam Elite? I never noticed it preventing me firing.
My thoughts exactly, because yes it does seem each bullet is a burst... which is silly... because that's with the most automatic weapon in the game.
But I think the 50% jam chance is a typo and it's probably really 0.5% as the Codex claims.
I do recall something about the lockon not working perfectly in the aliens colonial marines technical manual. But I'd have to re-check it.
