Can't use elevator

Can't remember the name of the place, but it's after Dead Hills. I have to take the elevator to the second floor to get to the command room. When I click to go to the second floor all it says it elevator or cancel. Nothing happens. I reload save and still doesn't work. Anyone else have this problem?

I have had this happen a few times but reloading a save has cleared it

Try exiting the elevator and then go back in.

I’m having this problem too. Great game but come on devs, surely the game is hard enough without RNG elevators

I had a bug where I had to run off the elevator and back onto it.

I had another bug where Only some of the elevators would go down to the 2nd floor. (the one in the middle of the map worked)

Ran in and out. Never worked. I had to go back to base then come back.

were you trying to do that during an onslaught of another event ? ive seen that the elevator is disabled during onslaught. i hate that but it makes sense since each floor is a level in of itself.

I had the same issue, you need to go and get the materials out of the crane to the south first. Once I did that it worked fine.

I had the same problem. Try these in order:
1) exit with every member and enter again
2) reload the save game
3) (if possible) extract your team and come back again
4) (if 3 not possible) reload the whole mission.

Unfortunately I had to do "number 3" once and it was very annoying.

It ended up being my tactical drone. It was stuck in another room on the map and without it, the elevator wouldn't budge. Leaving the planet and coming back worked.

On some maps it allows to use elevator even with a stuck drone. It will just say "not all marines are in the elevator".
The drone can get stuck pretty easily, at one time at the atmospheric processor it got stuck at the console. So went down to get the processor and no drone coming. Then when i got back it destroyed itself. Just like a sentry.

Still stuck on mission 7. Lift to exit the Montero does not work. Tried reloading and playing through missions 3 times with and without a Tech on the team. I can't believe they wouldn't have implemented a button on the lift... Please fix this game breaking bug!

I am just starting this game and I fking hate the control system entirely amateur programing makes me hate this game I’d love it if it was not so annoying command sequences. They could have taken better examples from other games like mass effect or dragon age. Each member could be with you and have set abilities and the buttons be much more fluent. This is just poor design and planning. I’m so irritated with the command selection menus that it makes me not want to play it a game should not irritate the player this way.

Game designers go fix the command menus make them more player friendly less irritating and easier to select the commands you can still have the marines move with you and select to give them commands if you redo the menu in a command wheel instead of select bar it’s all in the programing I know what you were going for real time tactic shooter which can still be done if you just redesign the command selective in a manner such as holding down l1 to activate the command wheel and press to for the other command menu and trigger to activate select command. I’m a software engineer and I can tell you this would be a better system instead of the way it is right now. It makes me not want to play the game.

This was the issue for me.
