Stuck on Survive the Crusher

During the objective "Investigate the Suspicious Container" I interpreted the objective "Survive the Crusher" as leaving and extracting back to the Otago. Redeployed the next day to find out I still have the objective but the Crusher doesn't seem to be anywhere on the map so I can't even find it to kill it. I'm assuming this is a bug? Anyone know a fix? Would rather not restart the campaign.

There are sadly some trigger and UI Bugs. If you have the mode with multiple saves you should have one before the Container. Loading that should "fix" most of them.

I will have to check. I did all the other objectives I had thinking the Crusher would eventually show up. So hopefully I have a save that is back far enough to load before then. Really wish the game had a manual save option. Thanks for the comment!

Hey, sorry we missed this one (and some others).
It will be fixed soon and the workaround from Maiskolben is the good one.

I tried running away but you have to kill it. I lost it so I ended up running with marines and sending ARC all over the map until ARC eventually found and killed it.

So... If you don't have a save before the Crusher, because you continued playing searching for the Crusher, you have to start the whole campaign over?
That's a pretty significant bug, maybe a way to restart a mission, or manual saves would be useful for cases like these.

Yeah same happened to me. I carried on playing because I thought it might progress later on a different day. So i carried on doing other things and collecting everything. Now the save before the crusher mission is gone and so stuck. I know I could just blast through it from the start again but I'm happy to wait for a proper fix and not waste my own time going through everything I've already done before. I'm guessing it will be addressed in the upcoming major patch.

It's like half way through the first mission, just restart!

Any word on this? No matter how close to the start of the game I am, I'm not restarting for a game breaking bug just to end up further in the campaign and getting hit with another.

Haven't seen anything addressing it in the patch notes. I just ended up restarting the campaign. I did end up running into another game breaking bug on the second to last mission but they just fixed that in the most recent patch. This bug might just not be as high of a priority to fix right now.

Would love a fix for this, spent ages doing all the other bits on this map, upgraded some guys, explored loads- but stuck with that one annoying primary objective I can't get past..

the devs did say they patched it in but i cant confirm if the bug is still present.
