Junkyard is great and Airstrip is so-so.
I would say ignore Tidal Wave. Anything you do on the Main Map does not carry over to Tidal Wave, so if you start from absolute zero again. None of the other DLC work with Tidal Wave, so it is an odd man out.
Junkyard has a great little Story, nice mechanics, and lots to do. Airstrip is something you buiy and play from the beginning. I would not reccomend playing a bunch and then buying Airstrip, because it will slog you down with beginner missions while you may be in the later half of the game. Airstrip also has a Story, but no where near the same as Junkyard.
Can Touch This is pretty cool if you like customizing.
DO:
Airstrip
Junkyard
Can Touch this
DON'T:
Tidal Wave
Party Time

Airstrip is good, but once you've finished all the challenges, you'll probably forget about it as you're so busy trying to run the Junkyard or Gas Station. It would be good if you could get an employee to run the fuel pumps over at the air strip.
Junkyard is the best and most fun, but for me just crashes constantly once you hit the challenge to earn $25,000.
I've bought Tidal Wave but not played it yet.
As for Air Strip and Junkyard I think Junkyard is a better more fun experience with more to do. Air Strip, once you get through a couple beginning missions doesn't have much in the way of upgrades or stuff to do. To make proper use of it's mechanics you have to stop what you're doing ever 2 to 3 minutes to go and barter for goods. That way your customers don't come to buy regional goods you don't have.
Party Time gives you a new mini game with the ice cream stand and a party spot that activates every like 40 minutes. Others have mentioned bad lag when the bus shows up for the party but I haven't noticed it myself.
So my recommendation would be Junkyard > Can Touch This > Party Time > Air Strip and unless you just really want to have the new experience in a different location with some new mechanics I'd avoid Tidal Wave.
I didn't get to play around with Junkyard and Airstrip much before other games started calling my name, but what I did get to do seemed pretty fun. Looking forward to revisiting whenever time allows. I've definitely seen some frame drops with the party bus/boat, but the influx of customers that comes with it is pretty nice for profits. And watching them all march around raising the roof like a bunch of morons is always entertaining. I never bought the party stand because I need LESS things I need to manage in the game, not more, so I can't really say much about that aspect.
The next DLC I'd get is the Car Junkyard DLC. Like the Airstrip DLC, they're involving to tackle, so I'd advise to have a heavily stocked gas station at the time you get pulled away to begin a DLC, cuz it might be a bit until you can go back. I'd highly suggest begin them when you have multiple employees.. or remember to either close the Dust Bowl or close some parts of your gas station to minimize notifications about customers at the garage, car wash, etc. if you don't have enough employees (or patience) to deal with it all at once.
DLCs are designed as segments, so you do have moments where you can use the quick portals back to the gas station to tend to common matters like orders, deliveries or handling VIPs at the register. I just think the Car Junkyard is more entertaining than the Airstrip. Sean is an interesting character, he's annoying, but also endearing in his goofy demeanor.
If you enjoy the base game routine, but want to take a vacation from the Dust Bowl, Tidal Wave DLC is your jam. I'd even refer to that more as an add-on expansion.
Tidal Wave, Party time are lagging real bad but give them more time before purchase them, to update and see if they continue to lag. If yes, avoid them because Airstrip you can let it be while doing Gas Station and fast travel between them, so no problem, Junkyard is apart from them so no problem too. The rest, are the same as Gas Station almost 80% of the same tasks but lagging really, really, really bad during game. Party Time, well, not needing to do much thing just provide what they need but when party people arrives, you'll notice realy bad lol
