Still with the sand....

I am ready to quit this game. There are NO sand piles on the roads, and I have the sandstorm turned off..however, the ONLY thing this game let's me do is clear more sand piles. This is super annoying and boring. I mean, exactly how many do I need to remove before I can actually get on with this game? Wish I could get my money back that I spent to get this game. The demo I played had none of that. Had I known that this game is all about driving around a stupid, gas guzzling "Rudy", I would have taken a hot pass. ANYONE have any idea, or hack how to get past this? Otherwise, it is just a waste of money.

The only sand pile I "had" to clean was the one blocking the line by the gas filling area. Are you sure there is nothing blocking the way into the station?

I checked all over. I have a ton of annoying piles in the parking lot area, but that is the only thing that could block cars. I've asked Steam for a refund, but unfortunately, because it is past their 2 week deadline, they declined. What a waste of money this game is.

I dont like this either but clearing the parking area takes like 2 minutes, I always do in in the beginning before cleaning the one if front of the gas pump because you get free gas as long you didnt clear this one

I have seen others make this same complaint. My guess is that the game doesn't register that you've cleaned up all the mandatory piles. Have you tried starting the game over. It won't take long to do the bare minimum of tasks to get back to that spot.

Maybe restart? Sounds like a bug to me. the only mandatory sand piles it made me clean were the one blocking the gas pump in the beginning and the one made my the first dust storm.

There were about 5 others that I had to get rid of over the course of the game to unlock new parking spaces and allow access to the party area, but it only took about 30 seconds each time.

It's your fuel cheat.
After starting up Rudy, there's a part of the mission where it runs out of fuel, and you have to refuel it. The mission will not continue if this stage is not completed, so picking up the sand in front of the pump does nothing, despite that being the instruction.
Run out of fuel first, refuel, then re-engage your vehicle fuel cheat once the mission is over.
