"Welcome to the Car Wash" not unlocking

Am I the only one not having this one unlock? It's for washing your first car. I've washed atleast five by now and no dice

I wrote this in the Update #4 thread but copying here for visibility :)

If you still have issues with achievements unlocking it's likely due to a corrupted GSS_Stats file.

If you looked in your Saved/SaveGames folder there is a GSS_Stats_X.sav file. Deleting it should reset the stats and you should have the ability to finish all the achievements. (Keep in note that you might need to disable cloud saving on steam temporarily as it might want to restore the corrupted file).

Cool - but that will reset all other achievements I'm doing as well I imagine?

Nope, it's just a file that keeps track of stats internally that for some people got corrupted at some point. We don't have a fix for it yet so this is the only way. Achievements that have already been earned won't be taken away, it will only start the count again from 0 [not on challenges just pure achievements] so when you serve first fuel customer or 5th or 10th it can grant the achievements properly.

Cool cool - I haven't yet earned the last Popularity achievements, neither Decorating and Jack of all Trades. Of these three I guess the counter also resets on the Decorating one, then? But not the other two, because they check an integer instead of counting upwards, ye?

Correct. Popularity and Jack of All Trades should be unaffected by the file. It's only the countables - Thieving, Washing Cars, Fueling, Customers Served, Tips, Painting etc.

Hmm, I cannot seem to locate the needed file. Do you have a more direct path for the directory destination?

Found it! Tried with and without Steam Cloud disabled for the game, but it sadly still does not work :(

Hmm, which achievements are the issue?

With the game closed, deleting the file should fix the achievement-related problems if the cloud is disabled (did for all the people who reported the issue so far).

If the game was open when you deleted it - it's still likely to be restored by either the game or steam cloud. I'm not sure what else could cause it - might need your save files to try to verify if this won't work (. zip whole Saved folder which you can then e-mail to [e-mail], and include the link to this thread if possible in it.)

It's only the "Welcome to the Car Wash" achievement (and the following). I did it with game closed, tried with Steam Cloud only turned off for the game, didnt work. Tried turning off Steam Cloud for all of Steam, didnt work. So it does seem kind of weird! I'll send my save file to you guys right away

Your quick fix gives the good impression that then the player will get to the new content, but ...? I have followed your steps. He deleted the above folder and disabled the cloud.

Still not working ...

The first task cannot be completed even after these steps, I have already washed at least 20 cars and I still can't get to the new content.

Checked with our discord, and a few more people have the issues. I'm investigating :D If we can find it will fix it with the next hotfix.

Also I've partially misunderstood the issue due to 2 different things having the same name.

If you have an issue with the quest Wash the Car -1/1 that is called Welcome to the Car Wash, and not the achievement with the same name (which is the issue I was talking about.)

The workaround for this issue is to load a previous save game before the first car wash quest and try again (this has worked for some people), we're currently working on hotfix for this and the achievement (with the same name).

If you have the issue with the achievement the solution with the deletion of GSS_Stats should work but there might be secondary issue (which I'm investigating as we speak.)

So I'll wait for a fix. Because I have already tried to load another position in the game where this task begins and repeat it, and I was not very successful.
