For those having issues with the dx12 update
Before you launch the game, right click it, go to properties, and add -dx11 as a launch command. That will launch the game in DX11. On my system (GTX 1080ti and a ryzen 5900X), FPS seemed stable enough in dx12, but the frame timing was literally unplayable, with some of the worst stuttering I've seen in a long time. Luckily adding the -dx11 command worked, because if it didn't , I would not be able to play the game right now. dx12 CAN be better overall, but not if implemented poorly. From what I've seen, unless everything for a game has been overhauled and tailored for dx12, more times than not, it's going to result in a poor experience.

Indeed. It definitely can. We recommend "-d3d11" to be used instead as this was the one we used in testing but its good to know that -dx11 also works :)

We will most likely be adding an option directly from the Play button on Steam to pick the version to make it easier just need to verify it and get some more feedback from everyone on the latest patch so we can set it all up.

Ah okay, sounds good. Thanks for the reply! I'll try using -d3d11 instead next time I launch, though -dx11 does indeed seem to work. It's such a shame that dx12 seems to rarely ever play nicely with any gpu older than RTX, as I know there is much more that can be done with dx12. My only guess is that anything 1000 series and lower just doesn't have the memory bandwidth needed for dx12 or something, because the card is still plenty powerful, but that doesn't stop the horrible stutters in dx12.
