Game mode DX 12

What´s the difference between DX12 mode and the other one at the begining of the loading game???? By the way , everytime I try to load the game with the "other option" it gives me an error which I do not understand and for which I cant find an explanation anywhere.
I played the demo for a couple of days and it seemed to work ok so I acquired the gane one week ago and the truth is that the game is full of bugs after two years of being published.

dx11 = more stable (less crashes), usually more fps, usually more suited to older/smaller graphics cards
dx12 = more recent, graphics can be a bit better depending on the game, usually less fps, usually more suited to recent/bigger graphics cards

This is a rule of thumb because all this depends on the game and on your graphics card, but if in doubt, I'd say stick to dx11.

Thanks for your reply. I have a good graphics card and I am not having problems with the graphics nor the fps. I am playing on dx12 but the other alternative, as you say dx11, gives me an error and doesnt load the game. How do I change to dx11, just for test?
