Can't buy the Car Wash while in Air Strip DLC?

I decided to come back to the game after a while. I have warehouse and workshop lvl 3 with the Car Wash purchase button green but it says "additional quest progress needed" and when I click to buy it says "complete more objectives" but other than the air strip DLC, which doesn't seem to really end, there's no other progress to be made. Anyone know what's wrong here?

I'll leave this post up for anyone else having issues but yeah, you have to finish the Airport DLC's story to unlock the car wash.

You must complete Challenges on the right, before being able to go forward with the story.

Came back after a hiatus as well and I'm having the same issue. So because I was forced to start the Air Strip DLC I now have to complete every single Air Strip challenge before I can go BACK and purchase the Car Wash? Despite having a level 5 station an the Car Wash being the ONLY thing I can't purchase? Seriously?

Yes, at the moment is the only way.

I wish I did not buy this DLC then. This is just plainly annoying. I want to upgrade and have some more employees.

How can I delete the airstrip from my game, so I can just play the rest?

Easy, right click on the Game in your Steam Library nad open the Settings, go to the DLC Tab and uncheck the DLC.
