Can't open tools on controller

It says to press the LB button on controller in the options menu to open the toolbox but it does nothing at all, whether it is pressed or held down. I tried to rebind to X or B but it would not let me. Still had to press tab, not too bad once or twice but the laptop is about 5 foot in front of me.

I can't properly play with mouse and keyboard after a short time passes as I suffer from joint pains, and cramps, which also affect my hands with repetitive movements. It also needs proper controller prompts when using controller, instead of being told the keyboard layout throughout.

Apart from that, great game and looking forward to the next two in the series and all future DLCs

No problem on other games at all, all buttons and triggers seem to work fine.

Just to update you. I accidentally caught the select/share button on the controller yesterday and that opened the tools menu.

Very weird because, before posting the original post, I tried every button and none of them did it. I honestly cannot tell you what made the select button open it.
