It should change so that when you pick up an item, that it goes in your inventory, which also automatically goes to storage, as decorations worked this way, they take up storage space before the update when I got a lot from trunks
Main issue for picking up items, you have minimal area of where you can hover/interact with a shelf/container in the shop, if centered even if you are looking on the outside of a container, it'll pick up an item if it's where the cursor is on the other side, so I try so hard to interact only with the outer edges, which is often tedious
