Rotation and Placement of Items
Is there a way you could please make it so that items rotate so they actually fit flush against the wall and not crooked? It's driving my OCD crazy at the moment.

Not at the moment but it's noted :) thanks for the feedback.

Aye, A snap to grid or some sort of option, also it would be nice to be able to rotate things you are carrying (rubbish) so you're able to throw them into the dumpsters easier.

Yes, this. It is extremely hard to get some larger items in the dumpster.

There is a workaround for more precise placement.
It seems the initial angle is related to your camera's angle when you pick up the furniture. Try to stand in front of the wall and look straight at it or align screen edge to the floor boards, then choose the item you want to place. It's still not perfect 90° but it will be close enough not to irritate you.
I like the placement the way it is actually, looks more natural and requires some effort from the player. Just the rotating has to be more slow and smooth. Anyway, I hope devs won't replace it with simple grid snap or it will be toggleable at least.

I like when you place it too close to the wall and it goes up the wall "cannot place outside." gee, no kidding.

I was up to rotate objects with mouse wheel but it can't be binded. It's indeed very unprecise and when I use cool " trash " to decorate the station I use physics exploits to rotate the objects like pushing on a wall a certain way to get the angle I want

It's quite well working for shelves yeah ! But decoratives like piano is an other story

yeah, praying for a snap to grid feature, because this drives me bonkers.

Just have to get better at stacking.

Note: This is meant as a joke, it won't actually work as a solution. The garbage pickup will ignore things after a certain height is reached which leaves you with floating garbage. :D

The obvious sollution would be to hold down shift so the thing rotates at 45 degree angles relative to a compass.
