I been playing about 150 hours building a mega base and today's patch did something to the walls. Every time I load, my entire base is missing every wall tile, while everything else is just floating in the air. Mouse over them and states "no shelter".

Same as well for my friend that plays with me.

I've restarted the computer, verified integrity files, reloaded the game multiple times and same thing.

1) You can try to ‘roll back’ the save via a backup file, which is done every half hour or when you exit to the ‘character selection’ menu; until that moment everything was fine.
Mission names usually consist of a set of letters and numbers. You can determine which save was from your mission by the fact that these *.json files will have to have the latest creation date.
A fairly detailed description (by analogy)

2) Are you sure you didn't use mods?
Perhaps the problem is in dedicated servers. (one of you used mods)

Does that mean you're finally fixing Tempered Glass?
What was wrong with it before? I have a 3 by 3 Greenhouse made with the reinforced glass in the Arctic (that is where I built my base in Open World) and knew that if I put half floor on the outside all around, I can keep them from getting damaged (least I didn’t need to repair yet).

hyped for more building pieces. even though we're meant to eventually leave because of the super storm, it's more interesting for some playthroughs to imagine your pod got destroyed and you're stuck there now, so why not build a mansion.

whoopdi frickin doo. So happy to have more crap instead of finishing the game. 5 years from now we can finally have trees that dont fall through the game world. AI that works or maybe even a world that feels alive.

I love the constant updates. Personally, I would love to see more done with character customization. Not just how your face looks, but customizing the suits themselves so it isn't just a "which version of a spacesuit do you have" scenario. I mean, we're effectively blue collar workers in space... We always customize our stuff, especially headwear.

my greenhouse in the riverlands on olympus was working just fine for the past 2 patches. I just have iron crop plots outside with a water pump feeding them and the entire building is 3x5 dirt foundations, glass walls 1 high, then glass roofs with angled glass roof pieces to fill in the front and rear roof gaps.

There's a bee box inside and the whole floor is the iron crop plots. 6 rows of 10 iirc. They all get a +50% growth speed bonus for being in a greenhouse. I don't have any kind of climate control inside. There is one hanging light bulb but it's off more often than it's on.

Works great, makes lots of plants. Would recommend
I like my setup, I got 30 iron plots also (half growing corn (for cream corn I think it is called) and the other half growing coffee (for warmth)). I am getting it setup for bees.

Edit for the cream corn: I realized while doing the migrating sand operation, it didn’t restore health; so I had to edit my files to a previous backup so I could get some meat for healing to go with my cream corn (which I determined was a super food because of all the buffs).

I like seeing the iteration on gameplay systems as the thing that makes Icarus stand out against the backdrop of every survival crafting game ever is its environmental hostility in terms of weather, and mission structure. The most interesting moments in ICARUS for me have never been getting raided by 100s of wolves (seriously, why?) as it doesn't feel like an intended challenge, it feels like a joke. It's those moments where you are huddled in your house during a storm and a fire breaks out nearby and suddenly you are trying to put it out before having to flee into the night as your base goes up in flame and you find yourself picking through the wreckage.

I'm not saying losing everything is fun, I'm saying that the threat posed by the environment feels more organic and interesting to work against than "AND THEN THREE SCORPIONS, A POLAR BEAR, AND A BOAR FOR SOME REASON ALL DECIDED TO BAND TOGETHER TO MURDER YOU."

So yeah, stuff like, "Crops don't like being outside in a blizzard." is exactly the type of feature I like.

Excellent stuff!

Game just keeps getting better! I can only imagine what an ICARUS 2 would look like

It gets damaged in severe storms, making it completely useless.

Do you have regular glass (which is like wood in tier 1) or connect it to water to make reinforced glass (which got the same resistance as stone (so it can resist up to the orange storm symbol if I remember))? Building those half floors around it on the outside also seems to help (at least I didn’t notice anything yet, speaking of I should probably see with my repair tool).
