exp gain not showing on hit/kill

so recently my friend and i started playing and somehow every time he gathers stone or wood or even kill and skins a creature the exp he gained for it briefly shows up next to the exp bar how do i enable this as i would like the same thing but couldn't find any direct setting to show this

I might not be any help but, when you say it shows up next to the experience bar, do you mean their xp bar? or your xp bar? Also did you check in the game play options? I don't do multiplayer, so it works automaticly for me. Another thing to check is when they gain xp look to see if you also gain xp, it could be shared between both of you.

i did mean their xp bar and i think it shows all the time for him not just when we are close enough for shared exp i will look later when we are both on tho and no i didnt see anything in gameplay options

I currently playing this multiplayer and my friend is the one that hosts and i'm the one not getting the exp thing to show up. I know it's only small but i would like to see this as well.
Are you still getting this issue, and if not how did you fix it?
