There are bosses in the open-world, yes. A friend and I killed one last night doing one of the simple missions
Out of curiosity, where did you see only mention of the mission mode? Mainly because I'd love to catch any place where we haven't corrected this so people don't get confused. Not an issue on your end, probably is on ours if we haven't made that super clear for you!
As I said earlier, yes, you can do missions and such in open world mode. You can do them whenever you wish
When you go to start a new game, it will give you the option of what mode you wish to pick. Open-world will be amongst these options.
when i play few months ago i couldnt find how to do missions in open world with my friend
You need to build what is called a Contact Device, in order to start accessing the missions. You will unlock more devices as time goes on, which gets you access to more.
The "simple" missions only show two at a time, but there are also "operations" that are quite involved (I have yet to try one). Yes, your friend can join you
Hope you have a blast! If you have questions, join the Discord - https://discord.gg/surviveicarus
Ps thanks for letting me know where you saw that! Goes a long way to helping me do my job (which I like, people here are pretty cool)
