7.2 GB update w/no patch notes?
Anyone else getting a massive update with zero patch notes?

After the 7.2GB download it expands to 65GB, then wants several hours to install. Oof.

In my group this is happening for those of us with the Styx DLC, and vanilla doesn't suffer from this update.

I have the update pending and only have the 2nd DLC not Styx. Any word on what it is adding?

The patch notes are here:
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1149460/view/6690718524040261493

Note that steam itself may not cache this content immediately for you but we have no control over this.

this is happening for those of us with the Styx DLC, and vanilla doesn't suffer from this update.

Note that our DLC content is shipped to everyone because if the host owns the content everyone in that prospect gets it for free. So no content is "added" to your game if you purchase the DLC, as you will not have to download anything extra.

It's not just that; it also clearly says that Hypatia for Styx will come this week in last weeks patch notes and that it'll be a big update. So even if the new patch notes weren't there yet, all they need is being able to read, and have a little bit of patience til the new patch notes come out.

Does this update allow exotic farming in Styx in an Open World map?

Icarus update is arranged as follows
Phase 1: Checking and making a copy of the current game installation
Phase 2: download update in parallel, usually a small update and make changes
Phase 3: Game installation verification
The longest in time is Phase 1 + 3, but the bottom line is that they are determined by the Steam update system and have nothing to do with Icarus. Steam for a long time without intermediate checks does not allow updating games.
Same story for other projects. For sample: (i play in another game) Game 30GB, update 10-20 Mb, everything is updated in minutes or tens of minutes, it all depends on whether you have a game on HDD or SSD.

PS For me Icarus update 7-8-9 minutes. Game stay on new SSD (SATA3) When was on HDD -> average 40 minutes.

Because it is always written in the corresponding mainthread section.

Thank you for all the people who replied, Thank you to the Developer for clarifying the location of this update.

I will not apologize for not knowing the inner-workings of the 'mega-thread' for this specific game as I spend more time touching grass than following a steam games update list. I am not apologetic to those of you who were triggered by my very simple question, although I do feel sorry for you.
