Why would you be surprised at something like this and make such a harsh critique? We all have our own game play preference on what we consider comforts or priorities and auto water is NOT a priority to me. Although yes I can get re-enforced glass, that too is not a priority either, its a comfort. Why would Platium Weave to a priority when its for armour and I am able to defend myself well enough at the moment. Especially with a good army of Terrenus lol. I havent ventured far yet as I am still working on building my homestead.
I always do my best to plan ahead and spend the points very carefully based on what is a necessity, not a comfort. Auto water containers nor upgrading armour are NOT a priority since I got good enough armour from the workshop. So no, I had not got the platinum sheath or weave and I really dont care I didnt get it sooner, Since I do have a working refrigerator and interior lighting. Since food was going off too fast and I was using too much resources on torches. I have only been playing just over a week.
Also your making a bad assumption there about why I referred to platinum weave, I don't make the advanced armours for defence. But for set bonus or their thermal resistances. Example, the obsidian set for lava biomes due to how much heat it can tolerate, and making exposure take longer to build up, same goes for the wayfarer set. But considering the rest of your comment, I can likely see why. Am I correct to assume you play mostly in over world mode? And yes this I do have to concede that this play style thing, since I've been here since week 0, so I'm more used to run n' gun way of playing Icarus. Also just some future advice, some places having flying threats, so don't get too reliant on your mounts being able to defend you. No matter how many you have.
Yes, you have played since week 0, I have only played for 1 full week lol So no, i do not even yet need those suits for thermal protection etc. I am still building my very first homestead. thank you for the advice on the flying enemies. I cannot wait to venture out and explore further and obviously my first goal is to go further North to finally challenge the bears and other new ones i have not yet encountered. But I am prepping myself first and am an older person fairly new to gaming so I am slower with my combat skills. I have trained up extra horses so I have an army until I have improved on my own combat skills. The local wildlife on initial landing is easy to take on but I will take a few horses with me when I venture further up where I will then set up a second base and start challenging the other beasts. Ive spent this past week building quite a good first base and settling in. Than you for the advice <3
