basic water purifier placement after update

Anyone else got a problem placing down the basic water purifiers? Before they could be placed from river bank, but now you gotta dive under water for some reason

Well, I don't know how it was before some patch updates. I have no more than 76 hours of gameplay and so far that is the normal position to set down the basic water purifiers and it makes sense... There is other similar basic device, but that one is placed on the ground and collect rain water, also it uses coal... You could try this one!

I can still place them from the river bank. Might want to report this as a bug!

I have the same problem. I try to deploy the basic water purifier and its outline turns red attached to the characters face. I activate to position and it floats in the air still red outline.

Switch to third person helps for the moment. I noticed on some new character it worked normal for a few times

Same need to be in deeper water, seems work fine on 1st time placement, but pick up and bugs out.

And going 3rd person can trick to work too.

+1 this does it for me every time. Sometimes I try and place the purifier in 1st person it looks like it's coming out of my helmet and won't place anywhere.

This also occasionally works for other objects that won't place in 1st person.

Same problem here. This started to happen after 30 August 2024 update. I used to be able to put it in caves pools, can't do that anymore. I'll try the 3rd person to position it, but it would be nice to have this sorted.

I would rather they only had one basic water purifier.
It would be more game immersive...
Challenging...

Craft the basic water purifier that "catches" rain:

Fill up a container...From a river, stream or lake...
"Pour" water into the basic water purifier...
Have a "fraction" of water filtered...

1 Liter / 2 = .5L of purified water

Same happened when I switched out my biofuel water pump for an electric. Can confirm switching to third person allowed me to place from the shoreline.
