You and the OP need to employ common sense. Why would you find Dirt where clearly only SAND would exist? So before you want to get nasty with people check your own logic.
The guy is absolutely right. I needed dirt for some foundations while building a way station in the NE desert on Okympus. I tried digging over a plot of vegetation and got dirt instead of sand, so The Klang Is Good is correctional
