How to put down a Thumper?!??!?!?!?!?
You can't pick up the thing you cant move it, u cant equip it, so how the ***** am I supposed to carry and place the *** thing down?????? PLEASE CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN ME this awesome and very necessary feature? thank you!

It goes in your G slot. Then r-click it to deploy.

I havent seen any G spots

At the bottom right of your hot keys in your inventory is a G slot, drag the thumper at put it there.

most likley he is got some stupid radar in his G slot or rabbit
