Icarus
No More Sees?
We can no longer get seeds without spending talent points or having a Tier 3 attachment?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????

I could care less about the wheat or fiber, it was the SEEDS that I wanted.

One minute per seed with the stupid seed extractor????? Do you know how many seeds it takes to make one piece of animal food???? Ridiculous.

Oh, and nevermind the SEED bars, that easy to make level ONE food that you could eat to get by while you worked on something better?

Who's idea was this?????

Terrible change.

After reading...
Looks like we have the same thing...
With^ some "control" and "options"...

"Craft" a T3 "attachment"...
Add it to the "sickle"...
It should behave the way it was...

Yeah, good luck keeping an animal alive before level 20

You don't need "seeds" to keep "tames" from starving...
"Tames" will eat raw "food"...
"Seeds" are needed to "craft" the good "buff" stuff :)

Oh yeah? When's the last time you tried to feed your Terenus some raw wheat or fiber? Yeah, sure you can feed it 100 wild berries instead of one piece of animal feed. Have fun with that
I can see it being cumbersome on mission mode. Once you have charcoal though it's not more difficult than building a campfire.

In open-world this is great imo.

10x extractors would cost 150 wood, 250 stone, 200 fiber, and 100 charcoal to build and that can be done in ~5min in an already established open-world.

3x stacks of fiber in each will yield 240 seeds per full game day. In 1.6hrs of actual gameplay you can have 960 seeds. That's pretty great. Their inventory is huge so you can fill each with 12x stacks of fiber and go do something else while your seeds stockpile.

That's just the extractor and not counting the attachment etc.

1 stack of wheat = 14x seeds so you don't necessarily have to go with fiber.

Forgive me FrindlyFire, as my observation comes from playing mostly open world and would be harder if playing mission mode. But do you not use Omni feed from the electronic feed trough? That thing cranks out omni feed easily no matter what food you put in it. No seeds needed to produce it. It makes keeping the farmyard fed very easy and leaves the seed feeds free for excursions away from home where they do more benefit.

Oh I’ve never used the electronic feed trough. I …”adopted” my orphans (aka kidnapped after eating their parents) while on missions. No open world yet.
I started in an open world and just got a little directionless. So I deleted it and made a new character and have been doing Olympus and Styx missions/operations/whatever.
I’ve only ever gotten up to the large trough and stone water fountain.
Omni feed eh? Sounds like electricity might not be so bad!

you know they eat meat too?
I would suggest cooking the meat first. It gives a much longer buff for the animals, you can get a decent amount of xp from cooked meat than raw for them. helps them level, feeds them more. win/win

yes, but if you on run just kill some animals and feed raw meat. i never bothered crafting any special food for animals. and when you get electric feeder just dump all spoiled green food and will make animal food

Oh for sure, Just commenting about: that Raw foods ( like berries) take too many feeding actions; whereas you can just cook / prep something to ease it up some, like a cooked food, animal feed , or omni made animal food, that all provide a large chunk of hunger satisfaction.
