That’s a horrible analogy.
I don’t mind the lack of fast travel. But it can be more than laziness to want it. Is it hard working to keep the W key on the keyboard pressed?
For people who have a limited amount of time to devote to their gaming I think Icarus can be a terrible investment. For me it’s been wonderful, but I don’t mind spending 10 minutes or more simply going across the map running an errand of one kind or another. For the people for whom that’s a nonstarter, Icarus doesn’t have many shortcuts.
Heck, from what I’ve read about null sector, it gets even worse. No map. No water. Part of the whole appeal of the end game is how difficult it is to get to and how going back and forth is pretty much required. That genuinely sounds like fun to me, but I understand if it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
Fast-travel, among a few other issues, is what ruined Oblivion and Skyrim for me; its absence, on the other hand, made Morrowind a much more expansive and engrossing experience.
Buy controller from Workshop. Go to location, save location, later teleport to this location(it will have to load zone if location is far from your current location). Can save up to 18 locations.
And it does not require weekly updates, as it is a completely new item, so Mod Manager simply patches it in, without interfering with anything in game updates.
I do believe I have a character that with the right food can run faster than a maxed out moa with limitless endurance. So you don't even need a mount.
Here's a guide for something similar:

Thanks Dirmagnos, would you happen to know if it works on a dedicated server I host?
You can just try it. At the worst if just wont work and i dont really see it breaking anything. There are three scenarios - #1. Server must have it #2. Server and players must have it. #3. Anyone can have it.
