Can bears destroy stone buildings or do i go straight to concrete

Well, here's the bad news: Bears can destroy anything. Though i'd recommend only using concrete in the missions where storms damage stone - usually hardcore ones. I'm doing voyager recovery: hardcore and storms damage stone. For everything else bear related, build a gun. Or watch some vids on guys doing the bear-joust. 'Slowpoke Rodriguez, he bring a gun' - that's my philosophy. Stone should work for everything else.

There are the brown bears and the polar bears. The former are not that bad at level 12 or so. Really easy if near water. On the jousting, I could do that before, but after coming back I can't seem to get the timing right (not that I have great coordination in the first place). But I haven't died yet (of anything) after restarting at level 0 a few days ago. In general bears seem easier now than before (or that I'm better at the game now).

Bears, wolves, boars.... they seem to subsist on a diet of wood, stone, and lots of tears if you let your guard down. This is a common complaint and totally valid. they can see you through stone walls and floors and attack without mercy until you kill them, or they you. T3 gun. or better yet; T4 gun, not that hard to get, never worry about bears again..

For Voyager, I always go concrete but for the storms not the bears.

T_3 and or T4 wpns always are nice, but you have to them reseached to use them. But we all get there right.

lol lvl 30 is not exactly that difficult.. Drop into Voyager, 33% xp boost, kill some stuff, few hours you are lvl 30.. leave, go have fun.

All good mostly run solo, due i'm retired and most of my friends and family still do the work thing.

You can usually kill a brown bear before they can break a stone building element.

Polar bears... well... that's a possibility. I see damage numbers in the range of 280ish when they attack. They can actually dig their way through a stone boulder given enough time.
