concrete mixer

So the concrete mixer now requires a water connection. Can't build a water pump without steel ingots. So i can't make a concrete furnace or steel ingot. Am I missing something? This is a big ♥♥♥♥ up imo.

You can use it as you used to use it albeit very slowly. Apparently water makes it run faster. 100 cement = 42 real life minutes don't need all that crap attached.

Too bad you cant put filled water skins in the mixer like every other recipe requiring water

I tried the water skin thing it didnt work. It does allow it to work very very slowly. Lame man.

Unfortunately I was on Ramp-up Stockpile that's 250 Cement for the Scout ship plus another 120 odd I needed for T4 bench/2 furnaces / biofuel machine etc... It was tedious

Also on the same mission and got all the cement I needed. Yeah it took a while but I was so busy grabbing all of the other stuff it's not like I was ever at a point sitting around waiting for my cement to mix. By the time I got to Tier 4 to even have a water pump I had my 250 cement.

Man you must've been bored making that! I usually have multiple things on the go too however once you know how the mission goes and get into a rhythm I can finish it in one sitting usually finishing around the 29 day 16 hr mark (including exotic drilling) & try to see if I can speed run so to speak. That has definitely gone out of the window now.

The nerf to concrete was not intended, will be addressing this in next patch.

Also we are investigating water pipe option that would be available to protect Wood buildings.

I know the concrete situation was regretable, so much so consideration was given to hotfix to correct. But there are MAJOR update issues for some users, so sadly will have to wait for this weeks update to fix.

On the sprinkler for wood building tier front, that will take a little bit of time to do properly (bamboo pipes would be cool?).

Thanks for the response. I personally don't mind at all waiting a week for the concrete fix if there are other things happening.
